I am Jolanda, your host in the B&B

Introduction of your host
To get to know your host a little better I will introduce myself. I am a creative, nature and food loving Dutchie. Meeting new people and learn more about their lives makes life a wonderful journey! So working in hospitality fits in seamlessly!
I am a self-made hostess as my education has nothing to do with tourism. On the contrary, as I have an academic education in Environmental Sciences and in Physical Geography. And I was working as a Quality Assurance Advisor for an industrial cleaning company. I quit my job in The Netherlands to live my dream in Jordan.
I have the luck to live in this fantastic house with an enormous garden, a stone throw away from Petra. Together with Ginger and Pumpkin. Two local stray cats who choose me as their servant.
This is such a nice location to live, enjoy life and have guest staying here. I love the quietness of this place, the tweeting of the birds, the peace I feel when I wander around in the garden or overlook the Petra mountains. And certainly it’s a big joy to share all this beauty with my guests. Even before you arrive, you can enjoy the beauty of my garden from your home. As I found another way to share it. Via daily pictures on my photography blog. It is called “Kul joum a picture“. Every day a picture.
Next to hosting guests in the B&B, and cooking dinner for them, I provide chair massage services. Since April 2014 I am a certified TouchPro ® practitioner and I brought my special massage chair with me to give my guests a relaxing and refreshing massage after their visit to Petra.
Guests in the bed and breakfast
My first guests in the bed and breakfast were from Argentina. A mother and a daughter. They taught me how to make jam from the rose petals and shared their cooking secrets with me. It was such a great experience to host them that it really gave me the taste of running the bed and breakfast!
And subsequently many nice guests stayed here. Young couples, groups of friends, volunteers who did a project in Amman, single back packing travelers, Jordan Trail hikers, cyclists, expats living in Amman. Seniors who dreamt their whole life about visiting Petra, mothers with daughters, fathers with sons, couples celebrating their anniversary, single female travelers. Above all there is room for everyone in the inn.
Are you my next guest?
If the above appeals to you and you are planning a visit to Jordan you could be my guest. Have a look at the rooms, choose one and make your reservation. Additionally I will share practical advice, nice accommodations in the other parts of Jordan and other travel tips with you. This way you can put together your unforgettable Jordan journey.
If you, for instance, still have some questions about traveling in Jordan or staying at the B&B, feel free to ask. You can get in touch and I will get back to you. I would love to assist you in planning your visit to Jordan.
Above all, visiting Jordan will add an everlasting memory to your live!
