The villa is embraced on two sides by this big garden and has nice scenting rosemary and rose bushes, fruit trees and colourful flowers as well as a wild flower carpet in spring. This garden attracts many birds like Wheatear, Palestine Sunbird, Bulbul and Common Linnet.
I am so lucky that I can cook jam from the fruit in the garden. Lemons to make that sweet and sour lemon curd and olives to pickle and for oil. And abricots and plumbs in springtime, figs and grapes in summer and quince and apples in the end of summer. With sugar and some extra love I bottle these fruits to spoil my guests with their breakfast!
Behind the house is another garden. In the corner my sweet chicken have their own villa where they have space to take a sand bath and have a little nap from a higher spot. In return they give me their delicious eggs. Another great addition to the breakfast in the B&B.
From the back garden you have a marvellous view on the mountains that surround Petra, the Petra Museum and the Petra Visitor Centre down in the valley. It is a perfect spot to enjoy the sunset.
Just find your peace of mind on one of the terraces in the sun or the shade and let your thoughts go…
And if you book the Petra family room, you have your own terrace to see the sun set over the Petra mountains.
